Disabling IPv6 on Windows
1. Open Network and Sharing Center:
• Go to the Network and Sharing Center from the “Start” menu, or navigate directly to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
2. Select Your Connection:
• Click on your connection type (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
3. Enter Properties:
• The Connection Status window will open. Click on the Properties button.
4. Disable IPv6:
• In the list, uncheck the box next to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
• Click OK to save the settings and close the windows.
5. Restart Your Computer:
• Restart your computer to apply the changes.
Disabling IPv6 on macOS
1. Go to System Preferences:
• Open System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2. Open Network Settings:
• Select your network connection (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
3. Advanced Settings:
• Click on the Advanced… button in the lower right corner of the window.
4. Switch to the TCP/IP Tab:
• Find the Configure IPv6 option in this tab.
5. Disable IPv6:
• Set the configuration to Off.
• Click OK and then Apply to save your changes.
